![]() Penn State Homecoming 2009Homecoming weekend started with a blast of winter with the earliest recorded significant State College snow fall in over 100 years. Over eight inches of snow blanketed the Nittany Valley on Thursday through Saturday morning. This gave me a unique opportunity to capture some great images. Above is Saturday morning, Oct 17, 2009. It was snowing through the night and early morning. I was able to capture this scene with the snow still on the branches, creating a unique image of the beautiful Fall foliage and fresh snow still on the ground. | see bigger images | see framed images |

As I entered State College on Thursday evening, it was almost dark. I decided to try a unique image of Old Main with "her" lights on in the almost darkness. All lines lead to the Old Main focal point, including the illuminated surrounding walkways; a very unique image.
The Nittany Lion Inn, a fixture on the University Park campus since 1941, created a unique scene on Friday morning October 16, 2009. Framed by the trees and autumn colors, the fresh snow created an inviting entrance to the warmth and security of “The Inn”. The original entrance is the most photographed view. ![]() ![]() Both shots just above are North End Zone View - Beautiful panorama of the stadium including the full Suite area and the press box, taken from "dead center" behind the North goalpost. ![]() First Quarter - Taken from ground level with an enhanced lens, this image does not have the impact that it really can be. It has the potential to be 12-14 feet in length, where you can clearly see the faces of the people in the stands. Below are detail views of above.
