The Mall

University Park - Pictures from The Mall

The above scene was created in December when the Borough of State College sets up the Christmas tree in front of the Gate (entrance of the university mall). It is a scene reminiscent of "It's a Wonderful Life," with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. This image is a reminder to me that State College must be a wonderful place to "grow up" and my father would attest to that since he grew up there. Print alone unmatted and shipped in a tube is $35.00 in an 8 x 10 format.

The Mall

The Mall on October 29, 2011 was spectacular, combining snow, green grass and fall foliage. Framed with double matting and a custom wood frame makes a great addition to your Penn State Collection. If you are a football fan, it really doesn't matter if they win or lose (I know it really does) because you still have the campus, local community and memories of Penn State.

The Mall

This image looks incredible as a BW, also. Think about your wall hangings and how you would like them to appear in your home. Many clients are going with BW for certain decoration solutions.

The Mall

This beautiful print of the MALL on the University Park campus I think is one of the best ever taken. This one happens to be on canvas, but it can be framed any way you want it. On canvas as a 16 x 20 is $169 and as a 20x24 is $249. For traditional pricing, go to http://www.tommairs.com/pay_pal.php for prices on traditional prints (bottom prices) with double matting and wood frames. All canvas prints are mounted on foamcore before completing so they will not warp over time.

The Mall

This was not posed. This is a 2009 image of the Mall during a snow storm. As I was composing, this person just stopped and "took it all in!" I love this. Go to http://www.tommairs.com/pay_pal.php for pricing on traditional sized prints.

The Mall

The Mall and the foliage is spectacular with the Elm leaves in full splendor. You can see Schwab Auditorium on your right and if you could see through the Auditorium, you could see Old Botany (the oldest building on campus). This is a lovely walkway with inviting benches to sit, muse, read or just observe.

Armory Elms - 1949

My grandfather, J. L. Minick, on my mother's side created this image in 1949. J.L was an engineering major and was graduated from the Pennsylvania State College in 1899. He loved Penn State through and through and was President of the Alumni Association in the 1920's. He went on to develop the electric light for the Pennsylvania RR and also designed the electrical system for Union Station in Washington, DC. This print 10" high is available for $35.00 unframed and includes shipping.
