Penn State - Beaver Stadium 1982

This is the first image I took in Beaver Stadium with the intention of letting other people have a real view. I didn't know what a panoramic camera was, so I used my medium format wedding photography camera with a wide angle lens. I didn't know it, but I was "catching" a historic moment, the starting offensive lineup of the 1982 National Champion Nittany Lions.

This was the Pitt game and Dan Marino was the QB for Pitt and Todd Blackledge for Penn State. The next game was the Sugar Bowl when we beat Georgia and Hershel Walker (Georgia's great running back).

This image has become very popular with Penn Staters of that era. Some like the endzone, many like the stadium the way it was then with no upper decks and a great view of Mt. Nittany.
