Paterno

Hanging in Lion's Pride in State College: Iconic image of Coach Paterno in 2008.

Paterno 324

This win was probably one of Coach Paterno’s most improbable. The Nittany Lions had started off the season with a dismal loss to Toledo and Wisconsin (11 days after the 911 disaster at the World Trade Center).

Ohio State came into Beaver Stadium heavily favored and for a while it seemed like they were going to easily win. The Nittany Lions were down by two touchdowns at the start of the second half. Ohio State quickly scored again, but then the Lions came to life after an electrifying 78 yard touchdown by Zach Mills. Nittany Lions won the game 29-27. This win made Coach Paterno the undisputed Division IA coach with the most all time wins.

Paterno

This iconic panorama of Coach Paterno in color and everything else in black and white has been and still is very popular. I have also added a popular framing sample, with 2011 tickets, the Penn State Nittany Lion athletic logo and Coach Paterno's final record of 409 136 3 on a special plate Another way to frame this in a stately manner is the image of Coach Paterno and the athletic logo centered and matted in at the bottom.

All these frames are double matted with the black inner and gray outer mat. This looks nice with the black and whte, neat clean and fashionable. You can also have the white inner and PSU blue outer. Go to http://www.tommairs.com/penn-state-oh05.htm for a sample of the white outer and blue inner from the OSU game of 2005. Captains and scoreboard were in color.

Taken in November of 1999, this image depicts the determination and desire of Coach Paterno as he leads the Nittany Lions out of the tunnel. Paterno is in color to emphasize the importance of the famous coach to the team and fans.

Paterno Win 324 vs Ohio State

I don’t know why I took this picture, because, quite frankly, I did not think the Nittany Lions had a chance to win this game. However, this is an historic image now that history proved my instincts wrong. It is a great image of the team running in before the game. Coach Paterno can clearly be seen framed by the goal posts in the upper right corner. Zach Mills (number 7) can be seen to the left of the center post, not knowing what a pivotal role he would play in Coach Paterno’s historic win.
