A framed version with a title plate (optional) with a dark green inner and a lighter outer mat. This can also be reversed.

Princeton

Princeton panoramic team picture frramed with a black mahogany frame In this sample double matted piece, the seniors are represented in the top image and the team is represented in the bottom larger image. This is doulble matted with a Princeton Orange inner mat and and black outer mat. Double matting ensures a professional finished product.

The partially framed Princeton image below illustrates the detail of the matting and the placement of the pin and title plate. Note that they are matted into the piece and not just placed on top of the mat.

Nittany Lion Inn

The above illustraion, crreated from an original panoramic of "The Nittany Lion Inn." The likeness is the original "front" of THE INN and is the most photographed . The original capture was film from a negative 14" x 5". The frame we used was a "burnt wood," which is difficult to see. However, I can assure you that it is handsome framed piece.

Below is the entire original panoramic. The green we used in this piece is a little darker than the above. Either one looks excellent, but each individual sees matting with different eyes.

Ohio State

Above titled SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and the LIONS were playing Ohio State in the first "official" whiteout. Actually only the students wore white, but it was an exciting event for the fans. It had been raining (pouring) Friday and Saturday and the students has erected tents outside the stadium on the previous Monday and vowed to sleep there until game time. This was one sure way to get the best student seats available. Penn State was not favored and many people, including this writer, expected the LIONS to lose. I had strong hope. I had always wanted to take a dramatic picture of the captains, so I positioned myself to make the capture from the rear. In my opinion Alan Zemaitis, Paul Pozluszny and Michael Robinson were Penn State's best leaders ever. To add more drama, I decided to keep the captains and the scoreboard in color and have the rest of the image black and white. I perceived this as a play about to start and the curtain about to rise.

Double matted with a white speckled outer, Penn State Blue inner, title plate, college pins and game tickets.

Ohio State

Above is a popular print of the first "whiteout," which clearly shows the students in white (with the BLOCK S) in the same section and the rest of the fans in various colors. This one was framed with tickets from the 2005 home games. Double matted with a speckled white inner, a Penn State Blue outer and a black wood frame.

Placing several framed prints together of various sizes helps the viewere visualize space relationships. The bottom print is 54" long, the middle is 40" long and the top print is 24" long. Add 8" to the length to account for the matting and the wood frames. These samples were framed with the black mahogany (mahogany with black rubbed into the mahogany). This ranks with one of the most popular frames.

Below is a brass plate with dark acid etching into the cut surface. Most people like a title plate, but some certainly do not. These are all optional items.
